The establishment of this thread was a tad impulsive, but hopefully it will turn out interesting. Lately, I've been associating my writing with music. Personality and physiology wise. So I was wondering, do you allocate theme music to any of your roleplay characters/ does a song play in your head when writing about a character. Usually when playing the music in coordination with reading the roleplays, I see the character in the author's light, if that makes valid sense.
Thanks!

I don't actually play music or make a connection to any particular piece of music with any of my characters, per say. I do, however, base entire stories off of soundtracks consisting of different music. Often Linkin Park plays a large role in those

Oh I do that to! Only I'll have like, one song for a whole story and while I'm working on it I'll just play the song over and over again. But it might be fun to find songs that reminds of- omg my Cat is climbing a latter!!!! Brb... ... ... lmao! That is the most awesome thing I've ever seen. I love having my computer upstairs. *ehem* Sorry, as I was saying. It might be fun to find songs that remind us of our characters. I'm gonna try and find one for Lestell, heck, I've got nothing else to do... 'sept laugh at my cat.

Righto! Here it goes.
Jax Williams - Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel On notice, Jax refers to darkness itself as a personified being, as mentioned in this song. "Hello darkness my old friend". The rhythms and lyrics describe cold rain and city, scenery which perfectly outlines Jax's childhood. Sound of silence may not relate to Jax in a candid essense, but it can clearly explain his innocence and caring character assets.
Alternatively...
Jax Williams - Feeling Good originally by Michael Buble as covered by Muse.
The direct inverse of the last theme, the pounding, upbeat, yet jazzy melodies ring out with Jax's conniving and shady aspects. The music becomes a reminder of Jax's gambling habits, and rash actions. Accompanied with an uplifting tune to show his lack of remorse. Jax's devilish mood is characterized by this song.
Leonof "Maestro" Jaquestiene - Tank! by the Seatbelts
A combinaton of adventurous jazz and excitement that suits Leonof perfectly. Thanks to the convienient theme of the roleplay, this is music Leonof himself would play. Leonof is never sluggish or negative, therefore his music is as optimistic as he is. Tank! is a prime example of his musical optimism.
Zealot - New Born by Muse
Opening with an all important "nursery rhyme-esque" verse, New Born seems to travel through Zealot's shattered yet childish thoughts. Melodies ring in an uplifting redundancy that outlines his insanity. His destructive and catastrophic habits are exhibited later in the song when the heavy instruments take lead. Vocals spew lyrics that one might hear from a mad prophet LIKE Zealot. From sorrowful and quiet to chaotic and synaptic, New Born describes the many complexities of Zealot.
